Andrew ‘Roo’ Baker, Artistic Director & Producer 

Andrew read Theatre & Film history at Reading University then trained at The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Since graduating, he has been directing shows for children with The Young Shakespeare Company; his shows have toured the UK, Europe, China, and The Middle East to thousands of young people.

As well as directing shows for young audiences, Andrew also has experience working with young people in schools, developing their literacy and communication skills through drama. He was the creative lead on the sell-out London Climate Change Festival youth outreach initiative, devising new material to inform young people about our changing world. He co-produced the online series, 'Imagine Bi-Weekly', for the Westminster BIDs. Andrew is also a deviser and facilitator of work for disabled young people, and those with profound learning and behavioral needs, working with charities and institutions to bring creative experiences to service users.

Emily ‘Tigger’ Bairstow, Productions Director

Emily Bairstow is the Productions Director of Wild Geese Theatre Company, as well as an associated dramaturg and actor of the company. She has facilitated during our online outreach programmes, devising and delivering our workshop material. Emily read Literature and Theatre at the University of Manchester where she also trained as a facilitator for Theatre in Prisons & Probation. She then completed a masters in Acting at The Oxford School of Drama. She worked as an actor and performed all over the UK including the National Theatre, Tristen Bates, The New Diorama, Greenwich Theatre, Hull Truck Theatre, Hen and Chickens, Pleasance Theatre, and Underbelly. She has also performed globally including New York, Europe and China. Emily has been company manager, director, facilitator and an actor for the Young Shakespeare Company over the last 6 years. She has also worked for The Herd Theatre company curating and performing in their show ‘Slime’ for children aged 2-5 which was performed at The Southbank Centre in 2020. Emily was co-producing the youth outreach for the London Climate Change Festival- having successfully secured workshops for over 500 children in London. Emily produced and performed in the summer tour of ‘BOUDICA’ for Wild Geese.

Emily is currently training to become a primary school teacher and is, for the time being, taking a more ‘advisory’ role for the company. (She’s making sure Andrew & Lyle don’t do anything too bonkers while she’s gone!)

Lyle ‘Leelay’ Fulton, Marketing & Musical Director 

Lyle has many years experience working with children. As principal actor for the Young Shakespeare Company over the last 4 years, he has performed across 7 seasons of their work, as well as leading workshops for young children for both the YSC and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he completed his training in 2016. Prior to completing his MA at Central, Lyle read Politics at the University of Nottingham, during which time he worked as Social Secretary and Fundraising Coordinator for the Nottingham New Theatre. Lyle has also worked as a production assistant for The Big House Theatre Company, run by Artistic Director Maggie Norris, dedicated to offering young care leavers the chance to be involved in full scale theatrical productions. He has also performed with both Market Theatre in Hitchin and Coronet Productions in Nottingham in their productions over the last 4 years. Lyle wrote the score for Fiona & The Fox, performed in 2020, and was the marketing lead on the summer tour of ‘BOUDICA’ in 2021.
